Strategic Agricultural Development
The Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council (APPC) is committed to enhancing agricultural productivity and infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh. We have been entrusted with preparing detailed plans for agricultural development under the RKVY–RAFTAAR Guidelines, focusing on district and state levels.

Our Challenges
One of the primary challenges in executing these plans is analyzing the extensive and diverse agricultural landscape of Andhra Pradesh. This includes addressing both pre- and post-agricultural infrastructure needs and understanding district-specific requirements to drive effective planning.
Infrastructure Gaps
The lack of adequate agricultural infrastructure, such as storage facilities, cold chains, and market access, has been a major hurdle in improving agricultural outcomes in the state.
Resource Utilization
Efficient management of natural resources like soil and water is critical, and identifying ways to maximize their use without depleting them is an ongoing challenge.
Our Approach
To overcome these challenges, APPC follows a structured methodology, focusing on comprehensive analysis and detailed planning. This includes a multi-year evaluation of agricultural performance and infrastructure requirements, ensuring the alignment of district and state plans with the goals of RKVY–RAFTAAR.
Our Solutions
APPC’s comprehensive plans for the RKVY–RAFTAAR initiative focus on boosting agricultural production and enhancing the necessary infrastructure to support sustainable farming.
District Agriculture Plans (DAPs)
Each district's plan is a roadmap for agricultural development over the medium term (three to five years). These plans include an analysis of both ongoing and new schemes to ensure a seamless agricultural transition.
State Agriculture Plan (SAP)
The SAP takes a macro-level approach, addressing state-wide agricultural needs, while also incorporating district-level data to create a cohesive development strategy.
State Agriculture Infrastructure Development Plan (SAIDP)
This component assesses the current infrastructure for agriculture and allied sectors, providing recommendations to enhance existing facilities and build new ones where needed.
Outcome-Oriented Reports
Our reports present detailed proposals for agricultural interventions and infrastructure development, supported by a financial plan. The approved budget totals Rs. 15,081.35 crores for production interventions and Rs. 10,296.31 crores for infrastructure development.
Farmer Capacity Building
APPC empowers farmers through targeted training programs, educating them on modern techniques, sustainable practices, integrated farming methods, and diversification strategies to enhance productivity and resilience against market fluctuations and environmental challenges.
Market Linkage and Support
Our solutions strengthen market linkages by connecting farmers directly to buyers, facilitating market access. This approach enables farmers to secure fair prices for their produce, reduces intermediaries, and significantly improves overall profitability in agricultural ventures.
Business Impact
The successful implementation of the District Agriculture Plans (DAPs), State Agriculture Plan (SAP), and State Agriculture Infrastructure Development Plan (SAIDP) will lead to enhanced agricultural productivity, better resource management, and improved infrastructure across the state. This initiative drives higher income for farmers, increases market access, and ensures long-term sustainability in agriculture.
Significant Growth
Increased productivity through improved agricultural techniques and infrastructure.
Cost Efficiency
Reduced operational costs through efficient use of resources and infrastructure improvements.
Boosted Market Access
Enhanced market access and better trade opportunities for farmers, leading to increased income and profitability.
